Uzbekistan’s largest cold storage facility for fruit and vegetable processing spans 20,000 square meters and is designed to handle a variety of produce, including apples, cherries, peas, and yellow peaches. The facility features carefully designated sections to meet different storage and processing needs:
- Controlled Atmosphere Storage: Twenty rooms with capacities of 150 to 200 tons, maintaining temperatures between -2°C and 5°C, ideal for preserving the freshness of produce.
- Pre-Cooling Chambers: Two chambers with the capability to handle 50 tons every 10 hours, keeping temperatures between 0°C and 5°C for immediate post-harvest cooling.
- Low-Temperature Cold Rooms: Five rooms, each with a 200-ton capacity, specifically designed for freezing products such as peas and yellow peaches, maintained at -20°C.
- Processing and Packaging Areas: Zones with a consistent 15°C environment to ensure optimal conditions for sorting, processing, and packing.
- Loading and Dispatch Halls: Maintained at 15°C to facilitate a smooth transition from storage to transportation.
The cooling system is powered by three screw parallel compressor units and five piston parallel compressor units manufactured by MOON-TECH, providing efficient and reliable refrigeration. This turnkey project includes steel structures, PU insulation panels, advanced refrigeration systems, and air-conditioning equipment. Its successful completion reinforces our ability to deliver tailored solutions for large-scale cold storage and processing facilities, enhancing our presence in Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector.
To maintain product integrity during low-temperature discharge, Top Fresh in Butterworth, Malaysia, selected a Spiral Lowerator to replace traditional slide conveyors.
Designed and manufactured by MOON-TECH, the spiral mesh-belt structure enables smooth and controlled product transfer while minimizing mechanical impact. This configuration is particularly suitable for handling delicate products in cold processing environments.
The system supports stable outfeed operations while preserving product quality and reducing surface damage during vertical transfer.
MOON-TECH has successfully delivered a complete freeze-dried fruit and vegetable production line in Yantai, China. The system integrates four MTFD-240 freeze-drying units, each with an approximate processing capacity of 3.5 tons, and the production line covers the full process from pre-treatment to final packaging.

As the worldwide demand for healthy, natural, and shelf-stable foods grows, MOON-TECH remains dedicated to assisting food processors by providing advanced freeze-drying technology and extensive engineering support.
MOON-TECH delivered a multi-layer belt IQF freezer to RC FRIO SAS in Medellín, Colombia.
The system is designed with a processing capacity of 2,600 kg/h, enabling efficient freezing of various fruit juices and purees. Its multi-layer belt structure not only increases productivity but also significantly reduces energy consumption, enabling the customer to achieve stable and energy-saving production goals.
This project marks Indonesia's first use of CO₂ refrigeration for this kind of food processing facility.
MOON-TECH provided an advanced refrigeration solution with four dual-infeed, dual-outfeed single spiral freezers, which have been successfully installed and commissioned. While the system ensures stable freezing performance and demonstrates the application of CO₂ refrigeration technology in large-scale food processing operations.
