1959 Renamed "Shandong Yantai General Machinery Factory" and launched its first ammonia refrigeration compressor, marking its entry into the refrigeration industry.
Produced the first 2AL-15 ammonia refrigeration compressor, officially entering the refrigeration industry.

1966 Achieved a significant milestone by developing China’s first 4AV-12.5 piston refrigeration compressor, demonstrating innovation and technical expertise.

1968 Adopted the new name "Yantai Refrigeration Machinery Factory," reflecting its growing focus on refrigeration technology.

1973-1974 Collaboratively designed China’s first screw refrigeration compressor, a groundbreaking achievement led by Yantai Refrigeration Machinery Factory.

1978 Successfully trial-produced a screw refrigeration compressor unit, which passed ministerial-level certification, marking a significant achievement in independent innovation.

1980 In March, our company was renamed "Yantai Refrigeration General Plant," reflecting its expanding operations and focus on refrigeration technology.

1982 In September, the Yanji-brand 8AS-12.5 ammonia refrigeration compressor was awarded the National Silver Medal for Quality, highlighting its excellence in design and manufacturing.

1988 The Yanji 4AV-12.5 ammonia refrigeration compressor earned national recognition with a Silver Quality Medal.

1990 On November 6, we expanded our capabilities by merging with Yantai Foundry, strengthening its manufacturing and production infrastructure.

1991 In November, we established our first joint venture, Yantai Haida Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd.

1992 In December, we partnered with the U.S.-based Lianya Corporation to establish Yantai Hongda Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd., expanding our technological expertise.
On December 18, Yantai Moon Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Group was officially established.

1993 In August, a joint venture with a Korean partner resulted in the creation of Yantai Yueyou Refrigerated Container Co., Ltd.

1994 August: Collaborated to establish Yantai Jialing Cooling and Heating Equipment Co., Ltd.
November: Formed Yantai ACME Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd. through another joint venture.
Achieved DNV-ISO9001:1994 certification in China.

1995 On February 21, we entered a joint venture with Dunham-Bush Group to establish Yantai Dunham-Bush Industrial Co., Ltd.

1996 On June, we received a $2.79 million grant from the World Bank to support the production of ammonia compressors, aimed at reducing the use of CFC-12 and promoting sustainable practices.
On October, we partnered with Japan’s Ebara Corporation to establish Yantai Ebara Air Conditioning Equipment Co., Ltd., strengthening its capabilities in air conditioning technology.
On November 18, Yantai Moon Co., Ltd., the core enterprise of Moon Group, was established.

1998 On May 28, Yantai Moon Co., Ltd. was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, signifying a major milestone in its growth and financial development.

1998 On July 28, the first step toward internationalization was taken through the establishment of a Thailand office.
Successfully designed and developed a grain refrigeration system, which was certified in 1999, granting our proprietary rights and reinforcing its innovation capabilities.

2001 Partnered with Malaysia’s Dunham-Bush Holding Company to establish Yantai Hartford Compressor Co., Ltd., expanding its expertise in advanced compressor technology.

2004 Formed a joint venture with Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. of South Korea to establish Yantai Hyundai Moon Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.
we successfully developed a new high-efficiency screw compressor, which received technological certification. This milestone marked China as the sixth country worldwide with the capability to independently design and produce screw compressors.
In October, we became one of the first in China to receive production licensing for refrigeration equipment, allowing it to manufacture a full range of screw compressors, including open-type, semi-hermetic, and fully hermetic models in various sizes.

2005 Entered a joint venture with Germany’s Cabero Heat Exchanger Co., Ltd. to establish Yantai Cabero Heat Exchanger Co., Ltd.

2006 On June 1, we took its second major step in its international strategy by establishing Yantai Moon (Vietnam) Co., Ltd.

2008 A “Postdoctoral Research Station” was established to enhance our innovation and research capabilities.
In September, the air conditioning and ground-source heat pump systems provided by MOON-TECH for the National Stadium delivered outstanding performance, earning commendation from the Olympic Committee.

2011 The industrialization project for the NH3/CO2 screw cascade refrigeration system was recognized under the United Nations Montreal Protocol. It became a demonstration and promotion project supported by the Multilateral Fund, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

2012 In May, we relocated our headquarters, streamlining and optimizing internal resources for improved efficiency and coordination.
On September 19, we successfully acquired the internationally renowned Dunham-Bush Group, a century-old leader in central air conditioning. This acquisition enhanced its temperature control industry chain and marked its transition into a truly global company with international operations.
